Wiroj Criticizes Election Commissions Secrecy, Deception, and Camouflage Over Barcode Admission on Ballots

Wiroj revealed that the Election Commission (EC) admitted that barcodes on ballots can be used to verify the identities of voters. He stressed that even if the EC claims secrecy, if they maintain this standard, the nation cannot survive. He views the EC's use of the term "secret" as meaning "secrecy, deception, and camouflage."

On 13 Feb 2026, Wiroj Lakkhanaadisorn, a party-list MP candidate for the Prachachon Party, responded to reporters after submitting information and a letter to the Election Commission. Reporters asked if he had heard the EC's press conference regarding barcodes on ballots.

Wiroj stated he heard via live broadcast that the EC has admitted barcodes can be traced back to the voters because the barcode on the ballot matches the stub code. However, the EC claimed no one knows this information. Wiroj insisted that confidentiality must be absolute, with no chance for anyone to access it. Barcodes should not directly correspond to the stub codes if they can trace voters. How can this be called secret? He emphasized that if the EC continues with this standard, the country's future is at risk. He therefore believes the EC's use of the word "secret" actually means "secrecy, deception, and camouflage."
