On 14 Feb 2026, the Election Commission Office posted a clarification regarding a message posted by Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People’s Party, on 13 Feb 2026, following the Election Commission’s announcement about barcodes on ballots.
"The Election Commission can photograph ballot stubs and vote counters can check 100% who voted and how without error."
In response to reports on social media about this message, the Election Commission Office clarifies that the statement is not true.
