Previously a party-list MP for the Future Forward Party, he is the eldest of two children of Pongsak Limjaroenrat, former advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and Lilda Limjaroenrat. He is also the grandnephew of Phadung Limjaroenrat, former secretary to the Minister of Interior and close aide to former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. After graduating, Tim returned to help manage the family rice bran oil business, CEO Agrifood Co., Ltd., following his father's passing. He told Thairath that he turned around the heavily indebted company into Thailand's largest crude rice bran oil producer and one of the world's leading exporters within just five months. He also served as an executive director at Grab Thailand.

Political career of Tim Pita Limjaroenrat

Tim began his political career as the fourth party-list MP for the Future Forward Party in 2019, led by Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, who ran for prime minister with a youth-driven, anti-coup campaign that won 81 seats. Tim gained recognition for his parliamentary debate on government agricultural policies, notably addressing the "five-button issue," which earned praise from Anupong Paochinda, Minister of Interior, for his constructive opposition speeches on ethnic minorities, border communities, and land rights.

After the Future Forward Party was dissolved in a political upheaval, Tim joined the new Move Forward Party and was elected its leader. During campaigning, he earned the nickname "Orange Daddy's Love" from female supporters and launched the final campaign slogan "With Uncle, No Us" focused on reforming Section 112. The party won 151 seats, becoming the largest opposition, but Tim was blocked from becoming prime minister due to the Senate's disapproval. The Pheu Thai Party, which came second, allied with pro-military parties to form government, relegating Move Forward to opposition.

Tim became opposition leader but faced a legal case for holding media shares in ITV Public Company, resulting in a six-month suspension from parliament. He later resumed duties after the court ruled that ITV was not operating as a media company when he ran for office, thus disqualifying the media share claim. Political obstacles continued due to his proposed reforms of Section 112, leading to Move Forward's dissolution and a 10-year ban on its executive members.

Though sidelined legislatively, Tim remained active politically outside parliament and authored "The Almost Prime Minister." TIME magazine included him in the TIME100 Next list in 2023. He also assisted the People’s Party under leader Natthapong Rueangpanyawut. On Valentine's Day, Tim gained renewed attention by publicly introducing his girlfriend, actress Koi Aratchaporn Phokinphakorn, with a sweet Instagram photo holding a large bouquet of roses.
