
Anutin confirms he will expedite forming a government after the Election Commission certifies the 2026 election results. He reveals that the Bhumjaithai Party will independently manage security and economic affairs, proceed with closing border checkpoints, constructing border security walls, and canceling the 2001 MOU, pledging not to disappoint.
At 19:24 on 15 Feb 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior posted a message viahis personal Facebook pageaddressing the respected citizens, stating that as the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, he sincerely thanks everyone for the overwhelming trust and confidence given to the party to lead the government formation and govern the country. He will act promptly once the Election Commission officially announces the election results.
"I assure you that I will not let anyone who voted for the Bhumjaithai Party down or disappointed. I will repay every vote with full awareness of the trust you have given. All policies presented during the election campaign will be fully implemented as promised."
Mr. Anutin further revealed that the Bhumjaithai Party will be responsible for managing security affairs through diplomatic and military measures, affirming the use of all forms and methods to protect the nation's territory and sovereignty, as well as Thailand's honor and dignity. For him, the safety of Thai citizens is paramount.
Meanwhile, the closure of border checkpoints will continue and be intensified by building security walls along the border and canceling the 2001 MOU to safeguard Thailand’s highest interests. To meet the expectations of citizens who trust the Bhumjaithai Party, he and Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Bhumjaithai's prime ministerial candidate, promise to restore Thailand’s dignity on the global stage, ensuring no one dares to oppress, bully, threaten, or harass Thai people anymore.
"The Bhumjaithai Party will take responsibility for economic affairs to revive the Thai economy, which has long been stuck in a rut. Economic management will be handled professionally as one unified team: Team Thailand, primarily composed of Anutin, Ekniti (Nitithanprapas), Supachai (Suthumpun), and Sihasak."
He also revealed that all coalition parties will work as one team with a shared goal to improve citizens' incomes, covering agriculture, industry, commerce, tourism, services, and freelance professions, all included in the government policies to be presented to Parliament.
Mr. Anutin concluded by promising to make every vote given to the Bhumjaithai Party count as the driving force to develop Thailand steadily and sustainably, improving quality of life with better food, housing, health, income, and happiness for all Thai citizens.
