Prime Minister Anutin visited his alma mater, Assumption College, to join the 141st anniversary celebration, waving to greet younger students and expressing satisfaction with economic data signaling recovery.
On 16 February 2026 at Assumption College in Bang Rak district, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul attended as the presiding officer at the opening ceremony for the school's 141st anniversary celebration as an alumnus. The director, administrators, classmates, and student representatives warmly welcomed him.
The school atmosphere was lively when the Prime Minister arrived. Students waiting to greet him shouted joyfully, prompting Anutin to wave back with a smile along the way. He good-naturedly teased the group of reporters covering the event, saying, “This is a school event, not a political one.”
Regarding economic matters, the Prime Minister gave a brief response to questions about the National Economic and Social Development Council's (NESDC) forecast that Thailand's economy could grow by up to 2% in 2026. Anutin confirmed, “Yes, yes, it is really improving,” before continuing to participate in the event's activities.
