Thammanat dispels rumors of a secret deal with Bhumjaithai, declaring he is willing to serve anywhere if he dares to act. He warns those eyeing the Agriculture Ministry that poor performance will surely bring trouble.
On 16 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompao, chairman of the Kla Tham Party advisory board, gave an interview addressing political rumors. He firmly denied any ministerial seat bargaining or attempts to rally small parties to negotiate with Bhumjaithai as reported. He said these were all media fabrications. He stressed that the priority now is to wait for the Election Commission to officially certify MP statuses. Politics at this stage must proceed step by step, not be driven by speculative rumors.
When asked about his political future and affiliations, Lt. Col. Thammanat confidently replied that for him, location or position is not as important as the courage to work. If one dares to act, they can work anywhere. Regarding the condition to secure the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, if ultimately he does not manage this ministry and another group takes over, he hopes they will work sincerely. If they do not, it is acceptable, but if anyone takes it and performs poorly or fails to deliver on promises, they will face consequences.
