09:38, 17 Feb 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Bawornsak Uwanno, Deputy Prime Minister, gave an interview at the Government House before the cabinet meeting regarding the invitation to return as Deputy Prime Minister in the next government, stating briefly, "Please ask the Prime Minister." When asked about concerns that the 2026 House of Representatives election results might be void, Mr. Bawornsak said, "That is up to the Constitutional Court."
The reporter further reported that today, seven cabinet ministers notified their absence from the meeting.

For today's cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister assigned Deputy Prime Minister Sophon Saram to chair the meeting due to his morning schedule. At 13:10, the Prime Minister will travel to Songkhla province to preside over the royal cremation ceremony of Mrs. Sasiphat Sinsomros, Director of Patong Prachan Keereewat School, at Yung Thong Temple in Bang Klam District, Songkhla. In the evening, the Prime Minister will chair a security meeting at the 42nd Military Circle in Hat Yai District, Songkhla.
