At 11:48 on 17 Feb 2026 at the Government House, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul arrived after completing duties welcoming Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who presided over the 120th anniversary celebration of Thien Fah Foundation Hospital. Warawut Silpa-archa, a party-list MP candidate from the Bhumjaithai Party, also arrived.
After the morning session, the Prime Minister assigned Deputy Prime Minister Sophon Saram to chair the Cabinet meeting on his behalf. Then, at 12:44, Anutin left the Government House.
Later, at 13:10 at Military Airport 2, Wing 6, Don Mueang, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul departed for Songkhla Province to preside over the royal cremation ceremony of Mrs. Sasiphat Sinsomros, principal of Phatong Prachan Keereewat School, at Yong Thong Temple, Bang Klam District, Songkhla. This followed an incident where a man went berserk and took students hostage. The delegation included Deputy Prime Minister Bowornsak Uwanno, Minister of Public Health Patanaporn Prompan, and Army Chief of Staff General Chaipruk Duangpraphat. Upon arrival, reporters asked if he had talked with the Kla-Tham Party about forming the government; Anutin briefly replied, "I have talked." When pressed for details, he did not respond and immediately boarded the plane.
Reporters later noted that Deputy Prime Minister Thammanat Prompao did not travel with Education Minister Narumon Pinyosinwat as initially planned. Minister Narumon traveled separately from the Prime Minister's delegation, departing about half an hour earlier.
