The Bhumjaithai Party is preparing to introduce four prospective Prachachat Party MPs on 20 February, supporting Anutin to become Prime Minister, while excluding Tawee Sodsong due to his failure to align with the blue faction leadership because of past conflicts. They also plan to continue activities with the Pheu Thai Party.
On 19 February 2026, reporters reported that tomorrow, 20 February at 10:00 a.m., Bhumjaithai Party leaders will introduce four prospective MPs from the Prachachat Party: Sulayman Buannapin, candidate for Yala District 1; Sugarno Mata, candidate for Yala District 2; Abdulayi Sameang, candidate for Yala District 3; and Kamolsak Liwamo, candidate for Narathiwat District 5. This is to announce their support for Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of Bhumjaithai Party, as Prime Minister.
However, Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong, a prospective party-list MP from Prachachat, will not attend the introduction event. It is expected that he will instead pursue politics in cooperation with the Pheu Thai Party.
In the afternoon of 19 February, the Prachachat Party will hold a meeting to confirm this decision before proceeding with the joint introduction with the Bhumjaithai Party as scheduled.
Regarding Police Colonel Tawee, he has been a persistent irritant or source of conflict with Bhumjaithai Party leaders, whether during his time as opposition or as Minister of Justice. Issues include disputes over land at Khao Kradong and cases involving alleged vote-rigging among senators, among others.
