Sonthi Limthongkul struck his head on a pillar, causing a large wound that required 20 stitches. He was hospitalized for one night and must rest for at least 2-3 weeks. He recounted that while climbing stairs to pray, he felt as if someone pushed him, causing him to lose balance.

On 20 February 2026, the Facebook page “Talk About Everything with Sonthi” posted photos of Sonthi Limthongkul, a Thai journalist, writer, and political activist, showing a head wound and swollen eye. The post explained that many were concerned and asking why Sonthi had not appeared on the program “Talk About Everything with Sonthi” today. Sonthi had an accident and fell at Baan Prasat in the early morning of Thursday, 19 February 2026.

Normally, Sonthi arrives at Baan Prasat early every day as part of his routine to prepare for prayer and work. However, after getting out of his car and climbing the stairs in front of the building to the top floor, he felt as if someone pushed him, causing him to lose balance and fall. His head struck a pillar, causing a laceration with bleeding.

Followers took him to Siriraj Hospital where the wound was found to be quite large and required 20 stitches. Specialists conducted examinations including brain X-rays and CT scans, which confirmed no serious injury. Nonetheless, as a precaution, he was admitted for one night for observation.

This morning (20 Feb), the attending specialist re-examined the wound and confirmed that Sonthi could return home to recover. Later this morning, Sonthi joined his team for conversation and breakfast. However, he requested to rest for at least 2-3 weeks to allow the wound to heal. He expressed gratitude to all fans of the program for their concern.
