
Anutin paid homage to Luang Pu Tai Hong during the Chinese New Year festival at the Tai Hong Kong Shrine of the Poh Teck Tung Foundation before chairing the opening of the "Phra Nakhon Khiri – Phetch" event this evening.
On 21 February 2026 at the Tai Hong Kong Shrine of the Poh Teck Tung Foundation in Phlapphla Chai, Bangkok, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, accompanied by Mr. Assit Sampanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Mr. Siam Sirimongkol, Director-General of the Community Development Department, paid respects to Luang Pu Tai Hong (Tai Hong Kong) and made merit with donations to support charitable work during the 2026 Chinese New Year festival. They were welcomed by Mr. Aran Tohtuat, the foundation's general manager, along with Mr. Nattawat Gonthong, head of the Legal and Litigation Office.
In the evening, Anutin and his wife, Ms. Thanon Niramis, traveled to Phetchaburi Province to open the 39th annual "Phra Nakhon Khiri – Phetch" event at the King Mongkut's Memorial Park on Phra Nakhon Khiri Hill. The event aims to promote tourism and celebrate the important cultural heritage of Phetchaburi Province.
The Poh Teck Tung Foundation's Chinese New Year festival for 2026 is scheduled from 16 to 25 February. Devotees and the public are invited to pay respects to Luang Pu Tai Hong and seek blessings for good fortune in the new year. Activities include chanting the auspicious mantra "Pha Keng" to dispel misfortune, praying for family happiness, enhancing luck, fate, and stability throughout the year. Visitors can also make merit to dispel bad luck and receive blessings from the horse zodiac statue, which was consecrated by Chinese master monk Kananat Jinpron (Yen Ng) of Wat Mangkon Kamalawat (Leng Nei Yi Temple).
