Predee Dowchai denies rumors of taking the position of Minister of Energy, affirming that it is not true and confirming he does not wish to accept any position or assist any political party.
On 22 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Predee Dowchai, former chairman and independent director of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited, denied media speculation suggesting he might be approached to serve as Minister of Energy, clearly stating that the news is not true.
Currently, no individual or party has contacted, consulted, or approached me to take any political position. Although I have prior experience serving as a minister, I have no intention of accepting any political office or assisting any political party at this time.
"I have carefully assessed my role and believe that my knowledge and experience are better suited to work in the private sector, especially as a director and advisor to several companies. In these roles, I can apply my expertise to support organizational development, enhance personnel capabilities, and improve management standards in tangible ways. I appreciate all the trust placed in me, but I reaffirm that the news about me taking any political position is not true," Mr. Predee said in closing.
