New Party-List Election in Unit 4, Constituency 6, Udon Thani: Pheu Thai Party Leads

Unofficial counting of the new party-list election in Unit 4, Constituency 6, Udon Thani shows the Pheu Thai Party leading, followed by Bhumjaithai Party and Prachachon Party.

The Udon Thani Election Commission Office reported that an election committee member at Unit 4, Village 4, Phon Sung Subdistrict, Chaiwan District, Udon Thani, mistakenly tore the party-list ballot paper incorrectly, causing voting issues. Consequently, counting was halted, and no results were reported. After referring the case to the Central Election Commission, a decision was made to hold a new party-list election for that unit today (22 Feb 2026).

Ms. Samihara Decha-angkura, Director of the Udon Thani Provincial Election Commission Office, oversaw the process at the community hall of Ban Huai Yang. Mr. Sarit Rattanawong, District Chief of Chaiwan, along with the district chief officer, five election observers from We Watch, and police officers led by Police Colonel Ratpholchai Pensongkram, Commander of Chaiwan Police Station, Udon Thani, monitored the counting of votes for the new party-list MP election.

At Constituency 6, Unit 4, Ban Huai Yang, Village 4, Phon Sung Subdistrict, Chaiwan District, Udon Thani, 335 voters cast ballots out of 700 eligible voters, plus 30 registered abroad. The vote counting proceeded slowly and transparently under close watch of witnesses.

After the polls closed, the committee completed the vote count at 18:20. The results showed Pheu Thai Party with 86 votes, Bhumjaithai Party with 81 votes, and Prachachon Party with 70 votes. There were 322 valid ballots, 4 spoiled, and 9 abstentions.
