“Trinuch” to Present Awards to “33 Outstanding Working Women 2026” to Honor and Inspire

Trinuch, Minister of Labor, is preparing to present the “33 Outstanding Working Women Awards on International Women's Day 2026,” promoting rights, skills, and life balance to elevate modern female labor. The ceremony is set for 6 March 2026.


23 February 2026 GMT+7 Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Labor, held a press conference regarding the award ceremony “Outstanding Working Women on International Women's Day 2026” and introduced 33 exemplary outstanding working women from various fields to honor and inspire women nationwide, including

  • Ms. Suwara Twichasri, Governor of the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (Outstanding Female State Enterprise Executive)
  • Ms. Patimoh Sadiyamu, Governor of Pattani Province (Outstanding Female Government Executive)
  • Maleewan Jemina (Outstanding Female Artist)
  • Ms. Sompratana Nawong, owner of the E-Jan Facebook page (Outstanding Female Journalist)
  • Ms. Nattkanya Saengpho (Outstanding Female Private Sector Executive)
  • Ms. Naree Somratnakul (Outstanding Female Private Sector Practitioner)

The Minister of Labor added that the Ministry prioritizes creating valuable, stable, and dignified jobs for all workers, especially women, who are a source of productivity, creativity, and family strength. The Ministry has actively promoted key policies such as enhancing women's work opportunities and skills through upskilling, reskilling, and new skills development in digital, technology, and creative industries; ensuring fair labor rights protection for women; expanding social protection coverage to reduce vulnerability and provide long-term security; and supporting work-life balance by increasing maternity leave from 98 to 120 days to strengthen family institutions, allowing women to fully embrace motherhood and return to work with quality, which is a crucial foundation for future human resources.

“I firmly believe that women are not only labor driving the economy but also the foundation of family and social quality. The Ministry of Labor is committed to supporting all women to fully realize their potential and move forward with pride.”

Rear Admiral Saroj Khomkhai, Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare (DLPW), added that for the 2026 event, outstanding working women were selected from various professions in both public and private sectors, with 33 women chosen across 11 award categories. These are:

1. Outstanding Female Executive

2. Outstanding Female Practitioner

3. Outstanding Female Labor Network Member

4. Outstanding Female Freelancer

5. Outstanding Female Private Sector Labor Organization Leader

6. Outstanding Female Artist

7. Outstanding Female Journalist

8. Outstanding Female NGO Member

9. Outstanding Female Labor Academic

10. Outstanding Woman in Social Development Participation

11. Outstanding Woman in Community Development Promotion

The awards ceremony will be held under the theme “Women's Power, Modern Ways, Developing Thailand's Labor Economy for Sustainable Progress” on Friday, 6 March 2026, at the Miracle Grand Convention Hotel, Lak Si District, Bangkok.
