Sihasak Visits France, Praises Neutral Stance on Border Issues, Exchanges Information on Scammers

Sihasak visited France for bilateral talks with the Foreign Minister to strengthen relations on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of Thai-French ties, praising France's neutral stance on border situations and exchanging information.Scammers 

On 23 February 2026, Mr. Sihasak Puangketkaew, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held bilateral talks with Mr. Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, during his visit to Paris, France.

Both sides discussed ways to strengthen their close and long-standing bilateral relationship, especially through continuous high-level visits, as well as enhancing cooperation to elevate ties to a "strategic partnership" on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the establishment of Thai-French diplomatic relations this year.

The discussions covered exchanges at the people-to-people and cultural levels. Both parties also addressed geopolitical challenges and regional security issues.Southeast AsiaThis is an important issue for both sides. The minister praised France's neutral and constructive role in promoting peace and stability, especially regarding the Thai-Cambodian border situation. Information was also shared on the situation in Myanmar and efforts to combat online scams in the region.
