The Election Commission (EC) reaffirmed that on 1 Mar there will be a new election in Phayao Constituency 1, Polling Station 6, covering both constituency and party-list ballots, due to a mismatch between the number of voters and the ballots used. Meanwhile, on 26-27 Feb, a recount of party-list MP votes will take place across 7 polling stations in 4 provinces.
On 24 February 2026, the Election Commission Office announced the public information regarding the voting for members of the House of Representatives (MPs) both by constituency and party-list. This concerns a case where the number of voters who cast ballots did not match the number of ballots used at Polling Station 6, Village No. 4, at the cafeteria of Ban Sala School, Tha Wang Thong Subdistrict, Mueang Phayao District, Phayao Province, for Constituency 1. The new election will be held on Sunday, 1 March 2026, from 08:00 to 17:00. Voters are invited to exercise their right to vote at the specified date, time, and location.
At the same time, the Election Commission Office also publicized the dates, times, and locations for the recount of party-list MP votes at 7 locations as follows:
