Anudith, Chair of the Kla Tham Party's Strategic Committee, declined to answer whether Kla Tham has lost its chance to join the government, stating that they will follow the Prime Minister's guidance and wait for the Election Commission to certify the results first.
At 09:25 on 24 February 2026, at the Government House, Navy Lieutenant Anudith Nakornthap, Deputy Secretary-General to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs and Chair of the Kla Tham Party's (KTH) Strategic Committee, spoke about the party's situation, saying that they want the Election Commission (EC) to certify their status first.
When asked whether Kla Tham still has a chance to join the government amid rumors they might become the opposition, Navy Lieutenant Anudith said that, in fact, no discussions have taken place yet. He emphasized that they must adhere to what Rear Admiral Thammanat Prompao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, who also serves as Kla Tham's advisory chairman, has stated in interviews.
When asked if the Bhumjaithai Party (BJT) is still open to Kla Tham joining the government, Navy Lieutenant Anudith did not respond. When pressed on when there might be clarity on this matter, he said everything follows what the Prime Minister has indicated—that it is not yet time to discuss or negotiate government formation. They will wait for the Election Commission to certify the election results first. When asked if he was confident that Kla Tham would join the government, Navy Lieutenant Anudith declined to answer before immediately entering Building 1 of the Government Complex.
