Klattham Party Member Submits Petition to Election Commission to Dissolve Prachachon Party Over Specter C Company Media Activities

A member of the Klattham Party submitted a petition to the Election Commission requesting the dissolution of the Prachachon Party, citing clear evidence that Specter C Co., Ltd. has published other online content as a media outlet located within Prachachon's premises.

At 10:00 a.m. on 24 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Thankawin Rattawat Angkun, a member of the Klattham Party, filed a request with the political party registrar and the chairman of the Election Commission (EC) to forward the case to the Constitutional Court to dissolve the Prachachon Party. He also requested criminal proceedings against Ms. Panika Vanich and the revocation of the voting rights of 14 Prachachon party executives. He outlined three points for consideration. The first concerns the dissolution of Prachachon Party related to Specter C Co., Ltd., which has evidence linking it to Ms. Panika, who is not a party member but gave interviews and brought journalists into the Future Forward building on 15 February. There is evidence that the Future Forward building is rented by Prachachon Party, and he holds supporting files.

Mr. Thankawin stated that documents submitted by Prachachon Party to the EC indicate they rent office space in the Future Forward building for 200,000 baht per month, meaning the building is under Prachachon's control. Ms. Panika confirmed she can access floors 1 through 6 and can instruct the owner to turn air conditioning on or off. She also acknowledged that the space houses “Soul Bar,” which sells alcoholic beverages, and that Specter C is located on the 5th floor. The company's board has not commented on this issue, but Ms. Panika showed the 6th floor as the location of Specter C within the Future Forward building. Furthermore, Mr. Parit Watcharasin, Prachachon Party spokesperson, gave interviews and took media to see that the party's 4th floor space belongs to Specter C. Similarly, Mr. Phet Karunaphon, deputy spokesperson, made the same statements.

Based on all evidence, he did not rely solely on interviews but also investigated Specter C’s information, which clearly indicates it publishes and distributes other works online. This means Specter C is a media outlet operating within Prachachon Party’s premises. Ms. Panika indicated that the party's office is located inside Specter C’s space. There is clear evidence that in 2023 the company incurred losses, which coincides with the year of elections.

Regarding the second point, Mr. Thankawin said Ms. Panika’s political rights have been revoked, so she cannot be a party member, yet she remains involved in party activities. This raises the question of whether she is effectively controlling or directing the party.

For the third point, 14 party executives are involved in or own media businesses, which could disqualify them from running for office. He requested an investigation and revocation of their candidacy rights.

When asked if there was additional evidence, Mr. Thankawin said there are news photos, video clips, interview links, and documents submitted to the party registrar for review, including company records, fact-finding inquiries, and social security payment data. These suggest employment relationships between the party and persons linked to the media business. He affirmed that this action is a legal exercise of rights, not political warfare, and urged all parties to respect and strictly follow the law.
