Most recently, on 24 February, Rachen Trakulwiang, leader of the New Alternative Party, signed an order temporarily suspending Mongkolkitti from his role as party secretary-general. Profile of Mongkolkitti Suksintharanon

Introducing Mongkolkitti Suksintharanon, nicknamed Tae or often referring to himself as "Tae Rama 7." He was born on 25 September 1981 and will turn 45 in 2026. He was born in Mueang District, Phitsanulok Province. He has been married twice: first in 2006 to Ms. Patthanan Ritchaireungdej, divorced on 11 June 2010; then in 2010 to Ms. Phakorn Chantrakhana, divorced on 10 September 2018; he remarried Ms. Patthanan again on 24 July 2019. Mongkolkitti has four children: Jepang, Ping An, Shinten, and Ting Ting.


Education

Mongkolkitti completed a Vocational Certificate (Vocational Diploma) in Electrical Engineering and Electronics Preparation at King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok. He then earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power Engineering, from the same university. He holds a Master of Political Science (Politics and Government) from Thammasat University and a Doctorate in Public Administration from Thaksin University.


Political Career of "Tae Mongkolkitti"

Mongkolkitti began his political career by running for a Member of Parliament (MP) seat in Bangkok in 2007 under the Pracharaj Party but was not elected. After the military coup on 22 May 2014 led by General Prayut Chan-o-cha, then Army Commander, on 6 October 2014, the National Reform Council appointed 250 members, including Mongkolkitti, as an expert member of the National Reform Council from 1 November 2014 to 6 September 2015. Subsequently, on 13 October 2015, the National Council for Peace and Order appointed 200 members to the National Reform Steering Assembly, where Mongkolkitti served as an expert member from 13 October 2015 to 3 August 2017.

Until In 2018, Mongkolkitti launched himself as the leader of the Thai Civilized Party and ran as a party-list MP candidate in the 2019 election. He was elected with 60,354 votes. In the early government period, he was an independent government-opposition MP from 2019 to 2020. Later, from late 2020 to 2023, he served as an opposition MP, also holding positions as spokesperson and member of the military affairs committee in the 25th House of Representatives (2019–2023).


In the 2023 election, Mongkolkitti led the Thai Civilized Party again but failed to win any seats. He then reduced his political involvement for a period. On 25 April 2024, he joined the Democrat Party, and on 23 May 2024, he was appointed advisor to the party leader, Chaloemchai Sri-on. However, after Chaloemchai resigned as party leader on 12 September 2025, Mongkolkitti resigned from the Democrat Party on 17 September 2025.

In the 2026 election, Mongkolkitti debuted with the New Alternative Party as its secretary-general, actively campaigning. The party won one party-list MP seat, held by leader Rachen Trakulwiang. Mongkolkitti was third on the party list and was not elected. Nonetheless, he continued to file complaints alleging potential election irregularities as his personal right. Most recently, he was ordered to temporarily suspend his duties as party secretary-general.
