
The Bhumjaithai Party is preparing to unveil the "New Opportunity" party as an additional coalition partner, increasing support within the government, while showcasing the Palang Pracharath Party's backing that pushes the total support beyond 292 votes.
On 25 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that the Bhumjaithai Party is set to introduce two new coalition parties supporting Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul as prime minister tomorrow (26 Feb 2026) at 11:00 a.m. These are the Palang Pracharath Party, led by Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, and the New Opportunity Party, led by Mr. Chatuporn Buruspat.
This brings the total number of parliamentary votes supporting Mr. Anutin as prime minister to 292, comprising 192 votes from Bhumjaithai, 75 votes from the Pheu Thai Party, combined with smaller parties including Palang Pracharath (5 votes), Prachachart (5 votes), Economic Party (3 votes), Puea Chart Thai Party, and Thai Sang Thai Party with 2 votes each. Additionally, several new parties such as Ruam Jai Thai, Thai Sap Tawee, Ruam Palang Prachachon, Miti Mai, New Democracy, New Alternative, and New Opportunity each hold 1 vote.
