On 25 February 2026, reporters at the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives reported on recent developments following rumors that Major Thanathorn Promphaeo, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and advisory chairman of the Kla Tham party, was scheduled to arrive at the ministry to begin duties around 10:00 a.m. This led many media representatives to arrive early and closely monitor the situation, especially regarding the Kla Tham party’s political direction on joining the government or becoming the opposition.
Later at 13:48, Amin Mayuso, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and an executive committee member of the Kla Tham party, came to the ministry. When reporters asked if Major Thanathorn would arrive today, Amin said he was in contact and inquiring. He himself had come to wait at the ministry but asked the media to wait for Major Thanathorn to give a single interview to ensure clarity.
Regarding the Election Commission’s certification of constituency MPs and preparation of documents for their official reporting tomorrow, Amin briefly stated that preparations for MP documents are underway. When asked if the Kla Tham party was ready to be the opposition, Amin replied that it depended on the party members and that Major Thanathorn had no issues and was ready to work in any role.
