Chuwit Confirms No Green Snake, Says Glatham Still Has Hope to Join Government, Clear Government Lineup Seen After Songkran

Chuwit Pitakpornpalop said the Glatham party still has hope to join the government because it has been working with the Bhumjaithai government. He explained that Thammanat did not enter the ministry because he was tired and confirmed there is no 'green snake.' The government lineup will become clear after Songkran.

At 15:38 on 25 Feb 2026 at the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Chuwit Pitakpornpalop, advisor to the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and a party-list MP candidate for the Glatham party, gave an interview regarding the latest cabinet lineup that excludes Glatham. He said the news is just news, not true.

When asked if there is still hope, Chuwit said yes, there is. When pressed on why Glatham still hopes to join the government with Bhumjaithai, he said they have hope because they are already part of the government and currently working together. Asked why Col. Thammanat Phromphao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and chairman advisor of Glatham, did not enter the ministry today, Chuwit said initially he planned to come but was likely tired, so he did not. Normally, he would come. When asked if Col. Thammanat usually visits the ministry every Wednesday to pay respects to sacred objects and whether he would come today, Chuwit said he planned to come and they were waiting. Asked if it was late and he still had not come, if it signaled anything, Chuwit said it was not a signal but that he probably was resting and likely would not come that day.

When asked if the Glatham party leaders still trust Col. Thammanat, Chuwit said yes, they do. When asked again if they are confident of closing a deal with Bhumjaithai, given the Election Commission has certified MPs, Chuwit said the Election Commission has certified results but no MPs have reported yet. Reporting will happen on 26 Feb, but individuals cannot report alone because list MP results have not been certified yet. When the time comes, the entire party will report together. Only parties with a single MP might report individually. Larger parties will wait for the Election Commission to certify list MP results first.

When asked about rumors of a 'green snake' emerging, Chuwit said there probably will be no snake. They are still in the government and working together. The government lineup will likely be visible around Songkran.
