The parliament was lively on the first day of MP reporting as the young Bhumjaithai MP, Suchada Sang Thanthap, from Chaiyaphum, was the first to report, aiming to address infrastructure problems and agricultural product prices.
On 26 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters at the parliament described the atmosphere on the first day of MP reporting after the Election Commission certified results for 396 constituencies on 25 Feb 2026 GMT+7. The event was lively, with numerous media representatives covering the occasion.
The first MP to report was Ms. Suchada Sang Thanthap, also known as Idea, Chaiyaphum MP from Bhumjaithai Party, who arrived at 08:20, ahead of the official 08:30 reporting time. Ms. Suchada said, "I came early to report because I have to travel abroad for work. I wanted to complete the MP reporting first, and in the afternoon, I need to take my 2-month-old baby for vaccination."
Ms. Suchada stated her strong commitment to working in the House of Representatives, noting multiple issues in Chaiyaphum's District 4, such as infrastructure that has remained undeveloped for over 30 years. She plans to submit inquiries to benefit the area and will also promote agricultural product concerns since 70% of Chaiyaphum's population work in agriculture. She intends to leverage her experience from the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Higher Education to help citizens improve their livelihoods. She believes that gender does not hinder dedication in parliamentary work. Having worked at the Ministry of Industry since age 26, she believes female MPs can perform effectively and play significant roles in driving progress.
