Two siblings from the Sindhupr family received their MP certificates. Jiraporn highlighted the Election Commission’s duty to clarify election transparency and ease public concerns. Meanwhile, Anukul, MP for Songkhla from Bhumjaithai, expressed pride and excitement about serving his first term.
On 26 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Ms. Jiraporn Sindhupr and Ms. Chayapha Sindhupr, two siblings and MPs from Roi Et province representing the Pheu Thai Party, came to receive their constituency MP election certificates at the Election Commission (EC) office.
Ms. Jiraporn said she felt honored and grateful for the public’s trust in electing her as a member of parliament this time. She acknowledged prior public concerns about election transparency and voting ballots. The Pheu Thai Party had formed a working group to verify election results and gathered over 100 irregularity cases from various polling stations, submitting complaints to the EC to investigate and clarify election transparency. The working group has already compiled and sent these issues to the EC for explanation regarding public doubts.
Ms. Jiraporn stated that as a candidate, she expects this election to be conducted transparently and fairly, reflecting the efforts of voters who traveled and spent money and time to vote. Therefore, it is the EC’s responsibility to provide clarifications to ease voters’ concerns.
Personally, after assuming her role as MP for Roi Et’s 5th constituency, she plans to focus first on improving transportation infrastructure and water resources. Since the Northeast region covers irrigation areas and mainly rice cultivation, she wants to prioritize advancing these issues, as well as creating jobs and livelihoods for the local people.
Regarding the EC’s certification of MPs occurring before full verification and public explanation, she said she will continue her duties according to procedure. If the EC is ready to provide clarifications, they may proceed accordingly.
“Anukul” is excited to serve his first term as MP after waiting five years, hoping for a swift government formation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Anukul Pruksanusak, MP for Songkhla’s 6th district from the Bhumjaithai Party, came to receive his election certificate. He said, “I feel excited as this is my first term as an MP. It is a great opportunity to serve my constituents. I have long awaited this day for five years, and now I have succeeded. I want to tell the people in district 6 that I am ready to fully work for the area. My first project will be to solve the waste landfill problem, as promised during the campaign, since it causes air pollution affecting residents in Khlong Hoi Khong district. I will discuss solutions urgently with the relevant ministries and local authorities.”
Regarding numerous complaints about this election that might lead to its annulment, Mr. Anukul said, “This is the EC’s responsibility. As a candidate who won, I will perform my duties and let the EC handle their tasks. I acknowledge reports about issues with QR codes and barcodes on ballots, but this follows the EC’s procedures. I hope the government forms a cabinet quickly to push forward Thailand’s economic development as soon as possible.”
