Nattachart, MP for Suphanburi's 3rd district, denies any knowledge of being linked as one of nine 'turncoat' MPs from Kla Tham. He confirms no other party has approached him and clearly announces his intention to stand alongside Thammanat, focusing fully on working for the people of Suphanburi.
On 27 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Nattachart Wongsprasert, MP for Suphanburi's 3rd district from the Kla Tham Party, received his MP certification at the Election Commission. He was interviewed regarding news reports naming him as one of nine 'turncoat' MPs from Kla Tham. He said he was unaware of this before, was shocked upon waking, and received messages from constituents asking how this happened. He replied he did not know, suggesting it might be political speculation by interested observers, which is within their rights to consider, but there is no truth within the party. He has not yet had a chance to talk with Lt. Col. Thammanat Phromphao, the party's advisory chairman, but has spoken with party members who believe this is unlikely true. He confirmed no party has approached him, though the nine MPs named as 'turncoats' have joked among themselves about how these rumors arose without serious debate. He affirmed readiness to fully serve the public regardless of faction.
"I admit I was very surprised to see the news because this is my first term as an MP, and representing Suphanburi province, it is a life experience to have my name in the media in such a context. This experience has taught me to build resilience in my own thinking."
Regarding whether this is a trial balloon, since all five districts of Suphanburi belong to the Bhumjaithai Party and Kla Tham holds only one district, with hopes to turn the whole province blue, Nattachart said that within social circles, it likely isn't so. It is more likely discussions arose from social commentary on the political buzz. Their party is clear about working for the people, but due to various raised points, some confusion might occur, which is normal in politics. He does not see this as harassment.
When asked if Lt. Col. Thammanat had scheduled meetings with MPs to discuss party direction, Nattachart said no dates or appointments have been set yet; meetings are more about reporting in, and no arrangements have been made so far.
Asked about his feelings on winning the election, Nattachart said he is very happy and sincerely thanks the people for their trust. He accepts every vote with determination to develop Suphanburi further. He admits this is the happiest moment of his life and affirms that wherever Lt. Col. Thammanat goes, he will go too. He also states he has no issues with the senior leaders in Suphanburi, describing them as good siblings. Having worked in local politics as a provincial councilor, he knows and respects Suphanburi MPs well and is ready to work alongside them.
