Suphanburi Votes Recounted at 2 Polling Stations Teng Demands Full District Recount, Calls for Election Commission Probe

"Teng Natthapong," leader of the Prachachon Party, has called for a full district recount after a recount at two polling stations in Suphanburi showed the Orange Party candidate's votes increased by over 100. He also urged an investigation by the Election Commission.

On 28 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that following an order by the Suphanburi Election Commission to recount votes for the House of Representatives election in Suphanburi Province on 27 Feb, the recount covered two polling stations for constituency-based elections: Polling Station 1 in Bang Ta Then Subdistrict, Song Phi Nong District, Constituency 2; and Polling Station 4 in Ban Chang Subdistrict, Song Phi Nong District, Constituency 2.

The recount also included three polling stations for the party-list election: Polling Station 11 in Sanam Chai Subdistrict, Mueang Suphanburi District, Constituency 1; Polling Station 1 in Bang Ta Then Subdistrict, Song Phi Nong District, Constituency 2; and Polling Station 4 in Ongkharak Subdistrict, Bang Pla Ma District, Constituency 2.

The Facebook page of Mr. Natthapicha Rodcheep (Look Nut), former candidate for MP in Suphanburi Constituency 2 from the Move Forward Party, posted images comparing the vote tally sheets from the constituency-based election at Polling Station 1 in Bang Ta Then Subdistrict, Song Phi Nong District, Constituency 2 on 8 Feb with the recount results from the same polling station on 27 Feb, accompanied by the comment: "This is just one polling station. Candidate ranked 1 dropped from 427 votes to 263, candidate ranked 2 increased from 104 to 228."

Examining the detailed results, the Prachachon Party candidate originally had 104 votes, which increased to 228 after the recount. Meanwhile, the Bhumjaithai Party candidate's votes dropped from 427 to 263.

Additionally, Mr. Natthapicha Rodcheep posted images comparing the vote tally sheets from the constituency-based election at Polling Station 4 in Ongkharak Subdistrict, Bang Pla Ma District, Constituency 2, with the recount results from the same station, stating: "Another polling station: candidate ranked 1 dropped from 297 to 212, candidate ranked 2 increased from 129 to 165."

The details show the Prachachon Party candidate's votes increased from 129 to 165 after the recount, while the Bhumjaithai Party candidate's votes decreased from 297 to 212.

Meanwhile, Mr. Natthapong Rueangpanyawut, leader of the Prachachon Party, shared Mr. Natthapicha Rodcheep's post and stated: "Finding one polling station with such discrepancies calls for a full district recount to ensure transparency. The Election Commission should summon the officers at stations with such large differences for questioning. If fraud is found, penalties must be imposed and the perpetrators thoroughly investigated. I understand Polling Station 1 was recounted because there is video evidence showing ballots were not properly displayed during the initial count."
