Trinuch Assures Full Government Support for Thai Workers in Israel and UAE, Orders Ambassadors to Evacuate if Necessary

Trinuch has instructed Thai ambassadors in Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv to look after Thai workers and has warned them to increase caution. If violence escalates to the point that evacuation becomes necessary, they are to act immediately. She also urged relatives not to panic, assuring that the Thai government is providing the best protection and care.


On 28 February 2026, Ms. Trinuch Thienthong, Minister of Labor, expressed concern for Thai workers in Israel following rising tensions in the Middle East. She noted the conflict could intensify and spread, potentially impacting the welfare of Thai workers residing in the region.

Ms. Trinuch said she has instructed the Labor Office at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and the Labor Section at the Royal Thai Embassy in Tel Aviv, Israel, to closely monitor the situation and be prepared to support Thai workers if violence affects them.


"Currently, the labor sections have been coordinating to alert Thai workers to increase caution while traveling and maintain regular contact with Thai worker groups. If violence escalates requiring evacuation, they can proceed immediately," Ms. Trinuch said. She added that Thai workers have been advised to closely follow updates from the Royal Thai Embassy in Tehran, the labor office in Abu Dhabi, and Iranian official agencies.
