Anutin and Thannon paid homage to the Doi Suthep Stupa in Chiang Mai for good fortune. They also paid respects to Phra Tham Senabodi, the Regional Ecclesiastical Chief of Region 7, inquiring about his health before going to pay homage to Phra Phuttha Sihing.
On 28 Feb 2026 GMT+7, reporters reported that the Facebook page of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan shared images of Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul along with his wife, Ms. Thannon Niramits, visiting to pay homage at the Doi Suthep Stupa in Suthep Subdistrict, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai Province. They also paid respects to Phra Tham Senabodi, the Regional Ecclesiastical Chief of Region 7 and abbot of Wat Phra That Doi Suthep Ratchaworawihan. The post noted that at 17:00, Anutin came to pay homage at the Doi Suthep Stupa and to pay respects to Phra Tham Senabodi, inquiring about his health. The monk said he had recovered.
Additionally, the Prime Minister also traveled to pay homage to Phra Phuttha Sihing and to pay respects to Phra Thep Singwaracharn, the Deputy Provincial Ecclesiastical Chief of Chiang Mai and abbot of Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan in Chiang Mai Province.
