The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' third announcement advises Thais in the Middle East, particularly in Iran and high-risk zones hosting U.S. military bases, not to panic but to stay inside their residences or shelters and to closely monitor official alerts and news updates.
On 1 Mar 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a third alert for Thais residing in Middle Eastern countries, stating that
due to heightened tensions from missile attacks in the Middle East, causing widespread harm to lives and property, especially in Iran, Israel, and other high-risk areas,
the Ministry recommends that Thais living in the Middle East, especially in Iran and locations near U.S. military bases, remain calm, stay indoors or in shelters, closely follow local authorities' and embassies' alerts, and strictly comply with local official measures.
Additionally, Thais are advised to avoid traveling to these areas until the situation stabilizes. For urgent assistance, they can contact their nearest embassy or consulate, or reach the Department of Consular Affairs Call Center at 0-2572-8442, available 24 hours, as well as the Consular Protection Hotline.
