The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a warning to Thais in the Middle East to remain calm, stay in their residences or shelters, follow news updates, and strictly adhere to local authorities' measures.
On 1 March 2026 at 06:00, a reporter reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on its Facebook page its third advisory for Thais residing in Middle Eastern countries. It states that due to rising tensions from missile attacks causing widespread loss of life and property, especially in Iran, Israel, and other high-risk areas, the Ministry advises Thais residing in the Middle East—particularly in Iran and high-risk areas housing U.S. military bases—not to panic, to shelter in their residences or safe locations, closely monitor news and advisories from local authorities and embassies, and strictly follow local measures.
Furthermore, Thais are urged to avoid traveling to these areas until the situation stabilizes. In urgent cases, they may contact the nearest embassy or consulate or call the Consular Department’s 24-hour Call Center at 0-2572-8442, as well as the Consular Protection Division Hotline.
