The Department of Land Transport has opened a One Stop Service Center for registering ride-hailing vehicles through applications, providing all-in-one services until 31 March 2026, affirming the goal to enhance service quality and standards.
On 1 March 2026, Ms. Lalida Perwivattana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the Department of Land Transport is preparing to open a One Stop Service Center to facilitate ride-hailing service providers in legally registering their vehicles before the announcement by the Electronic Transactions Development Agency (ETDA) takes effect on 31 March 2026. The center will offer comprehensive services at a single location, including registration or approval requests, vehicle inspections, document verification, changing vehicle registration types, and payment of fees and taxes (if applicable).
The inspection point is located at the Vehicle Inspection Building (Building 4), Bangkok Land Transport Office Area 5 (Chatuchak), operating from 2 to 31 March 2026, between 08:30 and 18:00 daily, including public holidays.
Additionally, the Department of Land Transport has notified application-based service providers to bring their vehicles for proper registration. If groups of members plan to register vehicles together in large numbers, they can arrange appointments in advance to ensure faster service. The department has also coordinated with land transport offices nationwide to standardize the registration procedures for public motorcycles (Form Ror Yor 17) and hire cars (Form Ror Yor 18) uniformly across the country.
The Deputy Spokesperson stated that the opening of the One Stop Service Center is an effort to expedite and facilitate legal registration for drivers entering the public transport system, building confidence among both service providers and passengers before the full enforcement of the Ride Sharing announcement.
“The government emphasizes that this regulation is not intended to shut down professions but to raise service standards for safety and fairness in the national public transport system,” she said. Ms. Lalida added.
