Nida Poll Confirms Source of Survey Results: Public Opposes Kla, Democrat, and Prachachon Parties Joining Anutins Coalition Government

The "Nida Poll" confirms the source of the survey results, which asked 1,310 respondents about their opposition to the Kla, Democrat, and Prachachon parties joining a coalition government with the Bhumjaithai Party.


On 1 Mar 2026, the opinion survey center "Nida Poll" of the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) released the results of a survey titled "Four Parties Forming a Government?" The survey was conducted from 23 to 24 February 2026 among citizens aged 18 and over, distributed across all regions, education levels, occupations, and income nationwide. A total of 1,310 samples were collected regarding public opinion on joining a coalition government with the Bhumjaithai Party. The survey employed probability sampling from the master sample database of Nida Poll, using multi-stage sampling and telephone interviews, with a margin of error not exceeding 0.05 at a 97.0 percent confidence level.

More than half oppose Kla Party joining the government.

When asked about public opinion on the Kla Party joining a coalition government with Bhumjaithai,

64.35 percent of respondents stated they should not join the coalition government with Bhumjaithai.

Meanwhile, 34.05 percent said they should join the coalition government with Bhumjaithai,

and 1.60 percent did not answer or were indifferent.

Opposition to the Democrat Party forming government with "Sia Nu" (Anutin).

Regarding public opinion on the Democrat Party joining a coalition government with Bhumjaithai,

58.24 percent of respondents said they should not join a coalition government with Bhumjaithai.

Next, 40.84 percent said they should join the coalition government with Bhumjaithai,

and 0.92 percent did not answer or were indifferent.

Unacceptable for the Prachachon Party to form government with Bhumjaithai.

Regarding public opinion on the Prachachon Party joining a coalition government with Bhumjaithai,

71.14 percent stated they should not join a coalition government with Bhumjaithai.

Meanwhile, 28.55 percent said they should join the coalition government with Bhumjaithai,

and 0.31 percent did not answer or were indifferent.

Support for Pheu Thai to join the government.

Finally, when asked about public opinion regarding the Pheu Thai Party joining a coalition government with Bhumjaithai,

54.73 percent of respondents said they should join the coalition government with Bhumjaithai.

Next, 44.81 percent said they should not join the coalition government with Bhumjaithai,

and 0.46 percent did not answer or were indifferent.

Considering the general characteristics of the sample, 8.55 percent reside in Bangkok, 18.70 percent in the Central region, 17.79 percent in the North, 33.28 percent in the Northeast, 13.82 percent in the South, and 7.86 percent in the East. Among the sample, 47.94 percent are male and 52.06 percent female.


Age distribution of the sample: 12.13 percent are 18-25 years old, 17.79 percent are 26-35, 17.94 percent are 36-45,

26.34 percent are 46-59, and 25.80 percent are 60 or older. Among them, 96.11 percent practice Buddhism, 2.90 percent Islam,

and 0.99 percent Christianity or other religions.


Marital status: 36.64 percent single, 61.30 percent married, and 2.06 percent widowed, divorced, or separated.

Education levels: 0.38 percent have no formal education, 20.46 percent completed primary school, 33.51 percent completed secondary school or equivalent, 9.62 percent have a diploma or equivalent, 29.92 percent hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 6.11 percent have postgraduate degrees.


Occupations: 10.46 percent are government officials, employees, or state enterprise workers, 16.34 percent private sector employees, 22.52 percent business owners or self-employed, 10.69 percent farmers or fishers, 14.81 percent general laborers or wage workers, 19.07 percent homemakers, retirees, or unemployed, and 6.11 percent are students.


Income levels: 21.37 percent have no income, 3.74 percent earn up to 5,000 baht per month, 13.97 percent earn 5,001-10,000 baht,

31.53 percent earn 10,001-20,000 baht, 11.83 percent earn 20,001-30,000 baht,

5.50 percent earn 30,001-40,000 baht, 2.67 percent earn 40,001-50,000 baht,

1.15 percent earn 50,001-60,000 baht, 0.61 percent earn 60,001-70,000 baht,

0.15 percent earn 70,001-80,000 baht, 0.46 percent earn more than 80,001 baht,

and 7.02 percent did not specify their income.
