The Democrat Party's legal committee member declared that every vote matters and that election results must be clearly counted for the true owners of power, because honest politics must begin with transparency.
On 3 March 2026, Mr. Panupong Laksanavisit, a legal committee member of the Democrat Party, stated that all party operations are based on principles of correctness and fairness. Although the results might not bring significant numerical changes for the party, the true importance lies in upholding correctness. As a political party in a democratic system, it is essential to value every vote to the highest degree, because every citizen's vote always matters. More than 99,487 polling stations must be made as transparent as possible, so that we can answer the people, the true power holders, that honest politics is worth more than the power gained.
Mr. Panupong elaborated on the definition of honest politics, saying it must start from the very first day of the election process—whether it is campaigning free from vote buying or the transparent counting of votes, clear aggregation of results, and accurate, trustworthy announcements. These factors are essential and indispensable. Without honest politics, what will the country gain from elections? I do not want the public to feel hopeless or see the election process as merely a pathway to power.
