Jes Accepts Invitation to Observe Election Simulation with Somchai Tomorrow

"Jes" has accepted Somchai Srisutthiyakorn's invitation to join the observation of an election simulation at the Parliament tomorrow to address flaws, even though the timing is off and should have been before the election.

On 3 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Jes Tonawanik, prime ministerial candidate of the Rakchat Party (RCP), commented on the invitation from Somchai Srisutthiyakorn, former Election Commissioner, to observe the election simulation test, saying that since he was invited, he would like to attend and see it for himself.

He said the testing process should ideally happen before the election, so that any issues or necessary corrections could be identified in advance, preventing flaws before conducting the actual election.

Jes stated that this simulation is occurring after the election has already taken place, but experts and relevant parties have only now been invited to observe and test the system. He clearly pointed out the timeline error in this procedure.

Jes added that it is still worthwhile to conduct the simulation afterward since there have been criticisms about problems, questions about whether the election was secret or not, and doubts about the fairness and integrity of the election management. Since Somchai, a former Election Commissioner, and senators have good intentions, they will observe to identify any problems or flaws and determine how to fix them. Ultimately, this will help ensure that any necessary corrections can be made to improve future elections.
