The Secretary-General of the House revealed that they must wait for the Election Commission to certify 95-100% of MPs first before the Prime Minister submits the royal request to open the first House session to elect the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House.
On 3 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Mr. Siroj Paetphan, Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, said regarding the first House session meeting that they must wait to see when the Election Commission certifies 95% or 100% of MPs. Once the Election Commission announces full certification, the Prime Minister’s Secretariat will coordinate with the House Secretariat to have the Prime Minister submit a royal request to open the first House session to elect the Speaker and Deputy Speaker. However, so far, there has been no contact from the Prime Minister’s Secretariat to the House Secretariat.
