Prime Minister Anutin Orders Diesel Price Cap at 29.94 Baht per Liter for 15 Days

Prime Minister Anutin has ordered the diesel price to be fixed at 29.94 baht per liter for 15 days starting today, following public concerns over the prolonged US-Iran conflict that led to crowded fuel stations with people rushing to fill up.

At 21:00 on 3 March 2026 GMT+7, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul posted on all social media channels that, as head of government, he has instructed the Ministry of Energy and related agencies to fix the diesel price at 29.94 baht per liter for 15 days starting today. Afterwards, further measures to assist the public will be considered. All PTT gas stations nationwide will sell diesel at 29.94 baht per liter.

Reporters note that the prime minister's urgent order to fix fuel prices was prompted by nationwide public panic over the US-Iran war throughout the day, with many bringing containers to stockpile fuel, causing several gas stations to announce limited fuel sales.
