Anutin declined to comment on the speculation that General Apirat 'Big Dang' and General Udomdej 'Big Dong' would be appointed as Minister of Defence after reports circulated mentioning the name 'D'.
On 4 March 2026 GMT+7 at the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO). Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul refused to answer questions regarding the rumors of appointments. General Apirat Kongsompong, known as 'Big Dang', former Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, being appointed as Minister of Defence. Anutin only smiled in response.
When further asked if the name 'D' referred to General Udomdej Sitabutr, or 'Big Dong', former Deputy Minister of Defence, the Prime Minister also did not respond.
