On 4 Mar 2026 GMT+7, Lieutenant Commander Phaskorn Siriphakayaphon, Deputy Secretary-General and spokesperson of the Election Commission, and Mr. Khruchit Charoen-in, Deputy Secretary-General and deputy spokesperson, held a press conference on "MP Elections and the Referendum" for the Election Commission Office.

The difference in turnout between the two MP election types is due to factors such as incomplete return of two ballots for out-of-district or overseas voting, election officials added to voting stations who are entitled by law to vote only in the party-list election at their assigned station, and discrepancies between voters and ballots which the Election Commission ordered to be recounted.
