Ink and her husband visited Thaksin at Klong Prem Central Prison, updating on his usual life. They admitted that six months of detention feels long and said they will consult before deciding on using Baan Jan Song La and who will serve as his guardian during probation.
At Klong Prem Central Prison at 10:00 a.m. on 5 Mar 2026, Ms. Paetongtarn Shinawatra, former prime minister, and her husband Mr. Pitak Suksawat represented the family in visiting Thaksin Shinawatra inside the prison. Mr. Winyat Chatmontri, Thaksin's personal lawyer, also accompanied them.
After spending about an hour visiting Thaksin inside the prison, Ms. Paetongtarn revealed that today was normal, updating on everyday life. She said her father's health remains good and he is currently fine. When asked about reaching six months on 9 Mar and how she felt about the long detention, she lowered her head briefly then looked up and said it feels long. She encouraged him by saying he will be released in two months and hopes to keep his spirits up every day.
When asked whether Ms. Paetongtarn would be the guardian and use Baan Jan Song La as the probation location as before, she said they still need to discuss it further. Asked if they talked about the Middle East war situation, she said they did not.
Before ending the interview and thanking the media, Ms. Paetongtarn left the prison area by car. Red-shirt supporters were present, cheering to encourage the Shinawatra family.
