The Pheu Thai Party lined up to report to Parliament amid a lively atmosphere, with attention focused on the allocation of ministerial seats in the coalition government.
On 6 March 2026, the Pheu Thai Party, led by three prime ministerial candidates—Yotsanan Wongsawat, Suriya Juangroongruangkit, and Julphan Amornwiwat—brought a team of 16 party-list MPs to report to the Secretariat of the House of Representatives.
After reporting, Yotsanan said today was a special day as the party is fully prepared to work in Parliament. Regarding rumors that Pheu Thai would handle eight ministries in division with Bhumjaithai Party, he said there were no further details yet. The party must wait for the government formation process to finish, and Anutin Charnvirakul, as coalition leader, will provide clarification. Although internal discussions on personnel expertise have occurred, the full cabinet lineup awaits official resolution.
Julphan Amornwiwat spoke about the quota for the 2nd Deputy Speaker position, saying that by political convention, as the second-largest party in the coalition, Pheu Thai rightfully has the privilege to nominate a candidate. However, the selection process must first pass the party executive committee's approval before being discussed and agreed upon with coalition partners.
Meanwhile, Suriya Juangroongruangkit, the frontrunner for Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister, declined to comment on the challenges of managing such a major ministry. He only smiled and said to wait, urging everyone to follow the party leader’s official statements.
