Thammanat said he is still unaware of the DSI and Anti-Money Laundering Office's search of Songkhla MP Chonnapat Nakso's home, emphasizing that it is a personal offense that does not affect the Kla Tham Party. He expressed frustration that no one asks about parliamentary work.
At 11:55 a.m. on 6 March 2026 GMT+7. Col. Thammanat Prompao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, also serving as Chairman of the Kla Tham Party Advisory Board, gave an interview at the parliament building regarding the case in which officials from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) and the Anti-Money Laundering Office conducted a raid at the home of Chonnapat Nakso, Songkhla MP from the Kla Tham Party. He said he is unaware of the details, including the Ministry of Justice's planned announcement today, and that since Chonnapat is an MP with certain privileges, the matter must be observed carefully.
When asked if this would affect the Kla Tham Party, Col. Thammanat said it does not, as it is a personal wrongdoing. Asked whether he had spoken with Chonnapat, he said no, before retorting to reporters, "Why don’t you ask about parliamentary work instead?"
However, when pressed about Chonnapat’s claim that he had spoken with Col. Thammanat, the latter laughed and said, "Here we go again." Then Pai Lik, Secretary-General of the Kla Tham Party, told the media he needed to attend a meeting first and would provide updates later.
