Chonnaphat Naksua, a Palangtham Party MP, confirmed he is still in Songkhla but is currently not ready to give an interview following a press briefing by the DSI and Anti-Money Laundering Office regarding the issuance of a summons.
On the morning of 5 March 2026, officials from the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), together with the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO), conducted a search of the residence of Chonnaphat Naksua, MP for Songkhla's 4th district, representing the Palangtham Party. The search took place in Kradangnga Subdistrict, Sathing Phra District, Songkhla Province, to gather additional evidence regarding an ongoing case involving complaints about online gambling websites. The AMLO had resolved to petition the court to forfeit assets worth 158 million baht belonging to Chonnaphat and associates in the gambling case to the state. After reviewing the request to revoke the asset seizure, the court found insufficient grounds. During the search, officials seized one brand-name handbag (brand unknown) belonging to the MP’s wife. The search was conducted under warrants issued by the AMLO and for an old case involving the MP’s close aide assaulting a villager causing injury.
On 6 March 2026, local reporters attempted to contact Chonnaphat, who said he is not ready to give any interviews at this time but confirmed he remains in Songkhla Province. The atmosphere at the residence showed people inside the house and several vehicles parked outside.
