We havepolicies to helpreduce debt for small people, the elderly, and small businesses. To compete globally, we must overhaul systems, such as supporting investment in green businesses, to compete internationally and aim to be champions globally, ensuring Thailand's economy does not lose to any nation and grows steadily—not just 10% like in 1997—without leaving anyone behind.Currently, Thailand's economy faces many storms,
such as eventsin the Middle East. Therefore, our duty is to anticipate and prepare responses. Last week, the Prime Minister held daily meetings. We have already prepared plans concerning oil and commodity prices to prevent public hardship, because we dream that in four years, we must be champions on the world stage.Meanwhile, Supachai expressed happiness to meet everyone and be part of the party. She asked everyone to be the government's voice and advised
to take action to achieve success, because we want to transform the country so Thailand can compete confidently.Regarding the situation in the Middle East, she is concerned about the uncertainty of when it will end. What we must do now is ensure the public trusts that our team can meet challenges. She will control product prices using mechanisms for full management and coordinate with small and large businesses. Over 60% of our transport routes pass through the Cape of Good Hope; rerouting around it would take 10 to 15 days. We must find solutions to transport problems.
Regarding fertilizer, supplies will last until August; if shortages occur, we must find additional sources. She plans to discuss with Malaysia and Brunei.
Concerning U.S. taxes, after the U.S. Supreme Court halted certain tax issues, many agreements had been made expecting a 19% rate, but the U.S. leadership has maintained it at 15% for 150 days. Therefore, we must quickly allocate costs.
Regarding agricultural product prices,we must manage the whole system and consider which areas to convert to economic crops, targeting 1 million rai.For the issues of aromatic coconut prices and agricultural products, she has triedto manage collection centers, considering a central collection center,
alongside managing fertilizer. She encouraged everyone to contact her to help make Thai agriculture sustainable, as solving agricultural issueswill transform the country toward sustainability.Foreign Minister Sihasak Puangketkaew said that our foreign policy has been stagnant for a long time. How will we move forward?
Especially economically, how will the public know howwe facilitate them? This is the first election affecting the next one; everyone should be more alert. The world is turbulent; the U.S. breaks every rule. How do we live in such a chaotic world? We need strong foreign policy. On one hand, we have a strong Prime Minister and Team Thailand. The challenge for the government in this turbulent worldis to address urgent problems quickly, such as the Middle East crisis,
how to handle migration and solve problems. Are plans ready? We must have strategies to adapt to changes.“We must consider Thailand's interests and dignity. For example, Cambodia plays games like this; we must respond similarly but still coexist. With America, we must coexist as well, but if they affect our dignity, we cannot accept that because our interests come first.”
Sihasak encouraged everyone to enter parliament and help elevate issues through committees andparliamentary duties to drive foreign policy.
