On 9 March 2026, reporters reported that government formation is nearly 100% certain, led by the Bhumjaithai Party in coalition with Pheu Thai, Palang Pracharath, Prachachat, and several smaller parties, excluding Kla Party, Democrat Party, and Sai Ruam Phalang. Earlier, on 4 March 2026, Dr. Monporn reported to the Election Commission Office and was interviewed about rumors of his appointment as 2nd Deputy Speaker of the House. He said he was surprised to hear his name mentioned but that the party had not yet discussed any positions.

Regarding his political background, Dr. Monporn Charoensri, 60 years old, completed primary school at Sunthornvichit School in Mueang District, Nakhon Phanom; secondary education at Nakhon Phanom Wittayakhom School in Mueang District, Nakhon Phanom; and attended St. Teresa International College, Bangkok.
