The Bhumjaithai Party spokesperson affirmed no interference with other parties' work following reports that Pheu Thai Party confirmed nominating “Prasert” as a minister from Pheu Thai’s quota as before, emphasizing that no ministerial names have been proposed yet.
On 10 March 2026, reporters reported that on 9 March, amid rumors about forming the Anutin 2 cabinet, the Pheu Thai Party quota included Mr. Prasert Chantraruangthong, who is considered the riskiest due to an ongoing eye scan case at the National Anti-Corruption Commission. This was verified by Bhumjaithai Party members via the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society. Meanwhile, rumors also said Pheu Thai’s leadership discussed and insisted on nominating Mr. Prasert as a minister from Pheu Thai’s quota as before.
Most recently, Ms. Nan Bunyathida Somchai, spokesperson for the Bhumjaithai Party, clarified the matter, affirming that the party does not interfere in other parties’ affairs and that no nominations for any positions have been made at this time.
