If Chonnapat Fails to Appear on 12 March, Another Summons Will Be Issued During Parliamentary Session, Submission to Speaker Expected

The Minister of Justice revealed that a summons has been issued for Chonnapat Naksua, Songkhla MP from the Kla Party, for 12 March. If he fails to appear, another summons will be issued. The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) will intensify efforts to secure his presence during the parliamentary session through the Speaker of the House.


At 09:35 on 10 March 2026 GMT+7 Police Lieutenant General Rutthapon Naowarat, Minister of Justice, gave an interview at the Government House regarding the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) issuing a summons to Mr. Chonnapat Naksua, Songkhla MP from the Kla Party, in connection with the online gambling case. He said a summons was issued for 12 March. If he does not appear, another summons will be issued. However, if the parliamentary session opens, legal procedures will be followed. The matter will be submitted to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, who will use the House's resolution to decide whether to issue a summons or an arrest warrant. The Minister expects the DSI Director-General to proceed accordingly.
