At 09:50 on 10 March 2026 at the Government House, Lt. Gen. Adul Boonthamcharoen, Deputy Defense Minister, gave a brief interview after his name appeared in reports suggesting a promotion from Deputy Defense Minister to Minister of Defense. In the Anutin Cabinet 2, he said, "Please ask Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, who is also Minister of Interior."
When reporters asked if he was ready to work in any position, Lt. Gen. Adul said he would not answer questions before promptly entering the cabinet meeting.
