Anutin Appears Healthy Wearing Short-Sleeved Shirt at Government House to Support Energy-Saving Measures

The Prime Minister appeared wearing a short-sleeved shirt at the Government House to support energy-saving measures after taking sick leave and missing the morning Cabinet meeting. He avoided meeting with Thammanat and sat by the fence during a tense discussion with the Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration outside the Thai Khu Fa building.

At 15:30 on 10 March 2026 at the Government House, Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, arrived at the Government House after taking sick leave from the morning Cabinet meeting, citing illness. Attention was focused on whether he was avoiding meeting Major General Thammanat Prompao, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and Chairman of the Kla Thamma Party Advisory Board. Both had notified their absence from the Cabinet meeting on the same day.

Today, the Prime Minister wore a light blue short-sleeved shirt to support the energy-saving policy. Before leaving the Government House at 15:00, he stood talking near the foot of the stairs in front of the Thai Khu Fa building, then sat and spoke with Naruecha Kosasivilai, Director-General of the Department of Provincial Administration, and Thongjuea Chatkitcharoen, the Prime Minister's advisor, for about five minutes with a serious demeanor.

According to reports, the discussion was about preparations to accommodate the transfer of duties and areas from the Internal Security Operations Command, Region 4 Forward Command to the Department of Provincial Administration. The three southern border provinces are considered special areas with high national security sensitivity, so the transfer requires comprehensive consideration.

Later, reporters tried to ask the Prime Minister if he had recovered. He nodded but then pretended to walk hunched over and weakly, feigning that he was still ill.

Naruecha declined to answer media questions about any orders from the Prime Minister, stating only that there were none and raising his hand to deny, confirming there were no directives.
