Supachai is unconcerned about being closely watched as she fully enters politics. She is unsure if she will oversee the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, saying it depends on the Prime Minister. She is open to working with ministers from other parties as long as they share the same goals.
On 11 March 2026, Supachai Suthumpun, Minister of Commerce, addressed concerns about increased scrutiny as she fully engages in politics. She said she does not consider herself particularly capable but believes she is very determined. Personally, she is not worried and is focused on doing the most good for the people. Therefore, she will not pay attention to anything unrelated or unhelpful to the public.
When asked if she would need to be a deputy prime minister overseeing the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Supachai said she does not know yet. Since she already manages trade, which relates to the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, integrated work is necessary. Whether she will take responsibility depends on the Prime Minister. Currently, she manages the Ministry of Commerce and collaborates with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives without any problems.
Asked if working with other political parties would be an issue, Supachai replied that everyone works for the highest benefit of the country and its people. She herself acts accordingly. Thus, she is open to any party as long as it shares the same goals. She does not focus on party affiliation but on the work itself.
Regarding whether the Prime Minister indicated that the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives would be allocated to the Bhumjaithai Party, Supachai said she has only seen such reports in the news. When asked if she is concerned that responsibilities might lean more heavily toward three ministers than others, she said everyone has their own duties and responsibilities. All ministers are committed to performing their roles well and do not think about workload distribution.
