Prime Minister and Australian Ambassador Share Lunch for Over an Hour, Likely Discuss Oil Trade Sources

Anutin and the Australian Ambassador shared lunch at the Thai Koo Fah Building, spending over an hour together. The meeting likely involved discussions on sources for buying and selling oil before the Prime Minister left the Government House to attend to personal affairs.

11 Mar 2026 GMT+7 Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, arrived at the Government House, having arranged a meeting with Ms. Angela Macdonald, Australian Ambassador to Thailand, to share lunch and hold discussions at the Thai Koo Fah Building for over an hour. The talks are expected to have focused on oil trade amid ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

Afterwards, the Prime Minister accompanied the Australian Ambassador outside, greeting her with a Western-style cheek-to-cheek gesture before seeing her into a car. He then returned to continue duties at the Thai Koo Fah Building. Later, at 15:30, the Prime Minister departed the Government House, stating he was attending to personal matters.
